Grace Community Church of Englewood began as a small gathering in November 1998 at Englewood Elementary School.  By June of 2000, we were meeting at the Tringali Recreational Complex in Englewood, FL.  Continuing to grow, in December of 2005, we moved to Northern Englewood, in the Center for Sight plaza, 1/2 mile north of Dearborn St.  On April 21st 2013, we began holding services at 1160 S. McCall Rd.  

As many of you may know, our church building was ruined in Hurricane Ian. From October 2022 – September 2023, we worshipped at the Lemon Bay Historical Society. In October of 2023, we began worshipping at Faith Lutheran Church in Rotonda and remained there until January 2024. Each location has been such an incredible blessing and we are grateful to the people from both locations for welcoming us. 

On January 14, 2024, we begin worshipping at First Baptist Church in Englewood. It was our hope that this would be a long-term relationship, providing the opportunity to serve the community from a consistent location right in the center of Englewood.

Thanks to the Lord, this has become a reality and the two churches merged in January 2026 to become Grace Community Church of Englewood.  

As of February 9, 2026, the new church name is Florida Bible Church.  If you don’t have a current church home, we invite you to join us at 278 S Mango Street, Englewood at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings.
